My sweet Reese Mikaela Lee is 3 years old! I can hardly believe it was a whole 3 years ago that we were blessed with this amazing little girl who has taught us so much. Reese is a very special girl who came to us in an unconventional way, but has been nothing but a good thing for us as individuals and as a family. Reese has taught Darren and I so much about the love of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and is such a vital part of our growing Eternal family. She has such a love for the gospel and our savior and to see that love and knowledge, strengthen and grow over the years has been the most magnificent blessing. I could ramble on forever about are lovely girl, but I'll just end with a thank you, and Happy Birthday to our beautiful Reese!

Reese being the lovely, imaginative girl she is, came over to me the other day and said the words a mother longs to hear from her three year old daughter, "Mom, I want you to cut my hair in a mohawk!" Me, thinking I didn't hear her correctly asked her to repeat herself....her response, "Cut of the sides and spike it up, ya know, a mohawk!?" She was pretty disappointed when my response was, "NO WAY!" But I decided not to make it too big of a deal and compromised by putting six little ponies down the center of her head and ratting the top. Once she saw how cool she looked she asked for some lipstick and a photo shoot.....Above is the final result!

Reese and I love to have our little photo shoots! The boys aren't quite so willing to sit around and make kissie faces at the camera all day but Reese and I sure do have a fun time. We're always down to ham it up in front of the camera:) Reese is the best girlfriend a mama could ask for.

Jack Attack- ...He's really just an attack of cuteness and slobber:) My sweet baby boy is growing up. He has found his hands and they are constantly in his mouth. He is also cutting his two bottom teeth which doesn't help at all with the little drool problem he has developed. He is growing fast and has put on quite a bit of weight in the past 3 1/2 months...mostly in his cheeks! His precious little butt chin and adorable dimples melt my heart everyday. Jack is a very mellow, sweet boy that loves his mama! Thank heavens for that because Reese is a total daddy's girl. Jack loves being sung to. His favorite songs are the same as his sisters, "I love to see the Temple" and "I am a Child of God". Jack is very easy to get smiling and is the most ticklish baby I have ever seen. Next big steps for Jack are rolling over, sitting up, and probably some baby food for my little chunk. He is such a sweet boy and I am so blessed to have such wonderful children!

My sweet Reesie bug...aka-"midget mama"
Reese Mikaela Lee is a beautiful, sassy, and very smart nearly 3 year old. That's right...Reese will be 3 in just 6 weeks!!! AHH! Reese is such a sweet little girl with such a tender heart. She has so much love for her brother Jack and loves to help out any way she can. Reese is a very independent little girl. She has her own way of doing everything and thinks she is much older than she really is. She has adopted some imaginary friends within the last couple of months...One day I heard Reese in her room talking to herself, I walked in to take a peek. When I asked her who she was talking to she said, " The monster in my room" a little concerned, I said, "A monster? Is this a mean monster?" "No! He's a nice monster. He's my friend." To which I replied, "Hmm ok, a nice monster. What does this nice monster look like?" she then answered... a little annoyed that I was bothering her, "He is big and green with blue squiggly hair." What an imagination huh?

As you can see my beautiful babies are growing up! These are a few moments we caught last week when the love was flowing. Reese is a great big sister and such a great helper to mommy. She is always willing to help out with her brother. Reese is always trying to pick Jack up and hold him...Eeeek! It sure does make for some cute pictures though and Jack is so tolerant of his big sister. Not one peep of complaint while she was tossing him around:)

Reese & Jack

These are a few pictures taken last week of Reese and her baby brother Jack. We're all still adjusting to having a new member of the family but Reese seems to be taking the longest. That was expected but still rough. Darren and I can't take our eyes off of our sweet Reese for just one second anymore....I left out the pictures where she was plugging his nose and and pinching his lips together:)  As much as she likes to pick on her brother she loves him just as much. She is always asking to cuddle with baby Jack on the couch or help mommy burp him. Every once and awhile she'll even help with the diaper changing! We love our two beautiful children so much and are grateful everyday for the wonderful adventure they bring to our lives!

BABY JACK!

Jack was born Thursday July 15 at 8:07am. He was 6 lbs 7 oz, 19 1/4 inches long. He had a little trouble breathing at first and had to take a trip to the NICU where he was put on something called C-PAP to help him get all that yucky fluid out of his lungs. Thankfully he recovered quickly and was breathing just fine after about an hour. He's such a mellow little boy...which was an answer to our prayers since his big sister is anything but mellow:) Darren, Reese, and I love the new addition of baby Jack and look forward to all the adventures to come with our little family!
